Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and this is the first blog I've ever had. This is pretty neat!

Some of my interests include (as you may have figured out from the title of the blog) reading, and I also like to write. I enjoy crafting, but I have never really liked scrap booking. My craft of choice would be

I speak English. I took some Spanish in high school, but my Spanish is VERY limited. I can read and understand it better than I can by just listening to it. I think that's because I can often put it together by figuring out Latin roots and things like that.

I'm taking Intro. to the Study of Language because I think it would be very helpful to me. I want to write and I think I can do that better with a larger understanding of language.

All my reading has taught me some interesting things about words and the words they originally come from. I look forward to expanding my knowledge of language in the class, and also learning about other languages.
